PKCZ(R)( ピーケーシーズ) - 360° Chamberz Album Thoughts(J-pop)

I honestly didn't know who or what PKCZ was for the longest time. They've rose to fame over the last year because of the artists they have worked with. Those artists being inside the Exile Tribe family, JAY'ED and, Crystal Kay. Not that this is very surprising considering Verbal M-flo's involvement in the project. If you didn't know these artists are like a huge family to each other so when I found out that PKCZ was releasing an album, I was mostly excited for Crystal Kay and Verbal than the others. More Exile tribe is never a bad thing though.

360 Chamberz has feeling to be an album that was in production since last year. From Verbal shouting the year 2016 during a track to the variety of tracks that calls on different artists as features, this is one popping, lit, album. The members of PKCZ(Primal Knowledge Chamberz) lay down the beat for each track creatively while the vocalists work their magic. Its a pretty solid pop techno record infused with old school rap influence. Just listening to the instrumental shows me that these guys have talent to get you jumping by the time the chorus comes around. I also notice that the tracks make sure to pen point times when PKCZ boys have time alone to shine. Then there's times that the singers get their time to show their vocals. Sometimes both instances come together to give both parties a try making the track really breath life. Times when the DJ boys get less precise and more crazy comes during the album, undeniably creating a reliability to listeners of their music who want to let go without fear of other's opinions. Fans of Crystal Kay and Verbal M-flo's past collaborations will be overjoyed to hear them working together again. They vibe together like the two never stopped working together over the years.Verbal truly stepped out of semi retired mode to deliver bars that were fire, reminiscent of M-flo's old days on the throne. He used to barely rap on tracks only doing the bare minimum to qualify as a feature. Not to mention, how he wasn't rapping when PKCZ first hit the scene in 2015. I guess he got some inspiration from all the talent that he worked with to make this album possible. Exile The Second, Generations From Exile, and the first generation of Exile make appearances on 360 Chamberz respectively. The tracks they all performed on this album are in safe territory for them. These guys could sing/dance to the songs produced for them by PKCZ in their sleep. No doubt about it. Having such talented guys to give you just the right musical production to match your style helps a lot too. Crystal is really amazing on this album. Fans of Crystal's album called Vivid will fall in love with the tracks she sings on 360 Chamberz. Her voice sounds vibrant and free like nothing can stop her from reaching her goals. I believe this is why I wanted this project for CK and Verbal so badly. They are both at a time in their careers where they need a boast to get back in the public eye. Verbal's last solo album left a lot to be desired sales wise. On the other hand, Crystal Kay saw a major improvement in sales thanks to her collaboration with Amuro Namie. (Namie has revived a couple of artists careers. Gosh, hope you guys send her a fruit basket.) My problem with Crystal Kay's career in Japan is that she is constantly hitting a glass ceiling. Glass ceiling meaning limited success. Before you start, no. It's not because she's half black.(Side note: Her being Korean and Black actually helped her be successful in Japan in the early 2000s.) The main reason is because she isn't Japanese by blood and is considered foreign by many people in Japan even though she was born in Yokohama. CK constantly has to work harder than other artists to be recognized. The girl has a fanbase, don't get it twisted but she should be much bigger than she is right now. Keep moving girl. Your time is coming again. Continue to let your talent do the talking. Oh, one more thing! Please start doing more upbeat songs again. Ballads are good until you start doing too many. Sales aren't everything however, sales do decide a music artist's lifeline in the industry. Sorry for making this post about Crystal Kay…. Anyways, Method Man's feature on Into The Circle was the missing puzzle piece to creating wonderful music. THAT MUSIC BREAK AT THE END OF THE DAMN TRACK WAS LIFE!!! I TELL YOU LIFE! YA'LL BETTER GET YOURS! I SEE YOU PKCZ. Too proud of Elly(CRAZYBOY) also for stepping up his rap game. I honestly liked how he sounded better on the CD than I did when I heard him live on video. Always room for improvement.

Exile Tribe are the breadwinners on 360 Chamber because of the sole fact that they are idols. At least they have the talent to back up their popularity. Their vocals don't sound like normal boyish idols. They all sound like men that sing for the love. Can't forget their performers that dance all around the stage. 360 Chamberz is the perfect music for them to burn up the dance floor. Can't wait to see them do it sometime. All the other features that I can't remember off the top of my head brought more creativity to the album. Most of the tracks are Bops in my opinion.

PKCZ hit the number three position on the Oricon Chart, selling over 42,000 copies. A big achievement  for Verbal and Crystal Kay since their chart topping success years ago. I'm sure most of the Exile Tribe fan girls played no games in getting their copy from the local music store.
