I don't have much information on Roydo as far as his background history goes. His music pop up in front of me one day. The same way many other people seemed to have found his music. He's been in the music game for a few years but he has only released two major albums. One being a mini album and the other being his first full length album. Roydo seems to me like an artist that's still hustling to get his name out there so I'll give him a bit of spotlight here.

Roydo came prepared to impress considering the track lineup for his first self titled album. If you look at his past music then you know that this singer can produce some good "hit the dance floor" kind of tracks. This album comes through strong too in the form of dance pop influenced by RnB mixed with Soul. It was surprising how slick the beats were sounding in his tracks. He played no games in the studio making this a lit ass album. There's a lot of sound edits also that remind my of music from the USA. Roydo doesn't shy away or dilute this fact at all though. What came with this is a constant use of repetition using a phase in the chorus his songs. You are kind of forced to remember songs like CRZY when you're attacked by a combination of good vocals plus good musical production that's super smooth to the ear. My biggest issue with Roydo's music isn't really dealing with Roydo himself. It more has to do with the system of music outside of himself that he can't control. So many male singers in South Korea(mainstream & underground), I feel like are following in the same stride as him. Many of them sing like him and even have the same music style. Roydo is in a line of copies that are before as well as after him. Jay Park even has a similar singing style. I'm afraid that Roydo's music might be buried under all the others so he needs to release a style of music that others can't copy. The album overall was such a fun listen that it seemed like time flew by as I was jamming to each tracks. They say time flies when you're having fun. Right?

Roydo can sing perfectly for the type music that he's doing. He doesn't sound too different from other Korean singers doing the same style but he does have talent. Roydo even made KittiB sound good in her feature rap so you know that has to stand for something[INSERT ME LAUGHING]. Let me stop being rude…… Sorry, Miss "Don't use English in songs because this is Korea"…. You use English is your raps though. Practice what you preach. I still haven't forgotten how she tried to come for Jessi on Unpretty Rapstar. Who knows how this last part of the paragraph turned into me dragging her a little. Please excuse me, Roydo.

Here is a Dimond that many fans of Korean music don't know about. He kind of slides under the rug but if you get around to listening to his music you won't be disappointed. Meanwhile, I'll keep rocking with his album. PEACE!!
