K.Will continues to be on of those vocalists that dazzles listeners with his talent. He has worked with numerous artists to produce music and feature his vocals on his tracks. He's best know for being a ballad singer that thinks outside of the box for his music. through the years he has shocked listeners with his different approaches to love that are heartbreaking, yet thought provoking. His newest mini album: Nonfiction comes in two separate parts like his previous mini albums.

There isn't too many albums by a ballad singers that I can say I like all the songs on the album. Let's be honest. Ballads…. Especially Korean ballads can be be kinda of boring. They all sound the same if all the tracks in the album are only ballads. Koreans love using tracks produced with instruments such as the harmonica, piano, and violin. These sounds are the peak of the sorrow filled sound in most ballads which is masterfully done but it gets predictable once you either watch a lot of Korean drama or listen to ballad singers often. K.Will is a culprit of this type of production, except he at least isn't afraid to mix his music up by using a more pop upbeat style. Nonfiction continues K.Will's presence in the Korean music industry. It's a very strong presence at that. The albums tracks do follow that same K-balllad formula but this guy isn't going to let you listen to his music without letting you know that he has a voice on him. I notice that a good amount of the tracks are K.Will hitting the tracks hard in his vocal performance. Even the background instrumental is at a volume that stays out the way go his blessed vocals. Each album always has a more pop song featuring a rapper that's a break from the slow jam of the album for people that want a dance release. I don't think I got bored or skipped any of the tracks on Nonfiction. One track after another kept bringing the power of his talents to the forefront that made the whole album a good listen. A little jazz was added to Nonfiction for those who wanted K.Will to preform something new.

I'm going to go as far as to say that K.will is one of the best vocalist in South Korea. Any track this guy jumps one becomes pure gold because of his vocals. The various flexibility of his voice gives me constant life every time he opens his mouth to sing a note. He deserves all the awards and praise he has received.

Nonfiction: Part 1 was a pretty consistent album. I liked how the album kept a steady momentum of good tracks. I'll be waiting for part 2.
